VINTAGE 3000V Westinghouse Lightning Spark Arrester Porcelain Reddish Brown InsulatorWe are delighted to have for your consideration a fantasticVintage WESTINGHOUSE Porcelain Insulator. It is a 3000 Volt Lightening Spark ArresterThis insulator would make an awesome object of art for the steampunk aficionado.When this vintage lighting arrester insulator comes up for sale-it's almost always just the top cap. But as you can see-the two pieces together make a much bigger statement and are far more interesting.Marked on top " AUTOVALVE, LIGHTING ARRESTER". It has the traditional"W" in the center signifying Westinghouse. The base reads in raised letters: 3000V-S445491B. This set would make an awesome coffee table or shelving object of art for the steampunk aficionado. Vintage items like this are rarely saved when uninstalled once they become obsolete due to voltage requirements going up. Here is a photo from the 1940's where it shows the base portion during inspections at Westinghouse:Excellent condition-the interiors still have tar residual from original installation.The two pieces (when stacked together) measure 5 " tall. The bottom portion is 4-3/4" tall and the cap measures 1-3/4" tall on it's sides. The cap has a 5" diameter and the base at it's widest is 5.5". This set is super heavy
